The Akatsuki – From Weakest To Strongest And Why

The Akatsuki have always given me chills. Here’s a list of Akatsuki members weakest to strongest!

10. Zetsu

Zetsu as a whole was mostly utilized as a spy and to record fights and gauge the strengths and weaknesses of opponents. White Zetsu was able to be cloned and used as a large military force but as one entity he wasn’t able to do much as far as combat is concerned.

9. Hidan

Weird that the actual immortal would be so low on the list right? Well yes Hidan is immortal, but he is also the least intelligent member of the Akatsuki making him somewhat of a liability. Asuma, Shikamaru, Izumo and Kotetsu were able to cut his head off without knowing anything about his powers going into it. He can be dispatched rather easily despite not being able to die.

8. Deidara

Deidara suffers from similar problems as Hidan. Though not nearly as stupid as Hidan, Deidara can become quite reckless if he believes you’re mocking his art. This makes him do things that a level headed Shinobi wouldn’t, which plays a part in his defeat by Sasuke. Despite this he was able to capture Gara by himself and would of taken Sasuke with him to the grave if not for Sasuke sacrificing Manda.

7. Sasori

People often perceive Sasori as one of the weakest Akatsuki member due to the fact he was the first killed. However, Sasori was one of the stronger Akatsuki members, as he was able to kill the third Kazekage and was only defeated because the one person who knew his weaknesses was the one to fight him. With the help of Sakura of course.

6. Konan

Konan, with planning, was able to nearly kill Tobi, and would of succeeded if he had not had the Izanagi. Although that was one of the only fights we seen her in, the power of her opponent and what she manged to do to him proves she’s a beast.

5. Kisame

Kisame can reach chakra levels nearing that of tailed beasts with the help of his sword Shark Skin. His water style ninjutsu is second only to the Second Hokage and he can heal fatal damage with the chakra he steals from opponents. He was able to go even with Killer B, the 8 tail jinchuuriki who himself, was able to beat down a MS powered Sasuke and his crew.

4. Kakuzu

Kakuzu was one of the oldest living Shinobi, which says something about his power. He was able to fight with the first Hokage and survive and would have killed Kakashi multiple times if not for the interference of Ino and Choji during their fight and may have killed them all if not for Team Yamato saving the day. During his frequent rages, he killed all of his partners in the Akatsuki, save for the immortal Hidan.

3. Tobi/Obito

A lot of Tobi’s powers came from the mystery of his MS. While that is his strongest ability, he is also one of the most powerful fire style users on the show, in addition he is able to use Wood Release, and he gains the certain advantages of Hashirama Senju’s DNA. When Tobi transplants the Rinnegan, he is also able to create his own version of the 6 Paths of Pain.

2. Itachi

Itachi was able to easily defeat and humiliate Orochimaru when they were partnered. Before the decay of his eyes Itachi was able to easily beat Kage level opponents. His Genjutsu is some of the strongest in existence and his fire style jutsu is on par with that of Obito’s. Itachi also has his Susanoo which is in addiction equipped with the Yata Mirror and the Totsuka Blade. Itachi’s biggest weakness is his stamina and the rapid decay of his eyesight in battle.

1. Pain/Nagato

Nagato was able to defeat and kill both Hanzo the Salamander and Master Jiraiya (Though he admits that if Jiraiya knew the secret to his jutsu he would of won). Nagato only using the Pain Paths was able to accomplish this and was even able to defeat Naruto in Sage Mode with Naruto also having help from 5 toads of Mount Myoboku (2 of them being sages themselves). After being brought back, Nagato without the Pain Pathes was able to fight Naruto, Itachi, and Killer B at once and would of killed both Naruto and B if not for Itachi interfering. And that was with his legs still being semi immobile. Anyways yeah Nagato was a monster and Kabuto said that he was second only to Madara when he summoned the two.
