Here are 10 Legendary Anime Series That Needs A Remake

10. Captain Tsubasa

This is probably the most influential sports anime all over the world.
In a recent survey done by Japanese media website, Captain Tsubasa had also been voted as the shounen anime from the 80’s or 90’s which they want a remake most. For anyone who still has the heart to chase his/her dream, this is the anime that never outdated.
In fact there wasn’t even a professional football league at Japan when the manga publised, it was the incredible success of Captain Tsubasa that led to this quick and enormous development in Japanese football.
Captain Tsubasa interpret the dreams of young determined children, not only the ones in the anime, but also some of the world-class football players nowadays.
And an anime remake for it will never be too late.
9. City Hunter

Any fan would agree that City Hunter is a great manga which need a great anime update, especially when it has achieved great success after being adapted into TV series.
8. Slam Dunk

Giving a remake to Slam Dunk would fulfill the dream of any anime fan from 80s and 90s. In terms of remaking Slam Dunk, the major issue that most people would want is a continuation of the series specifically in the Inter high school tournament which has yet to be shown in anime.
They can choose to continue the series from where it left off or remake it entirely. It would also be a good idea to incorporate several of those canon OVAs to make the series more entertaining.
7. Rurouni Kenshin

The success of the Rurouni Kenshin live action movies should be a sign for the series to comeback. The first series kind of ended on a low note with the last arc which is why a remake of this series would be good.
If they redid the series with those animations in OVA then it would make the series relevant again at least in the anime aspect.
6. Trigun

The first series aired in 1998 with 26 episodes and a remake today would be amazing! In terms of the story, they can finally remake it having it follow the original manga, since it’s already finished and ready for an adaptation. What do you say?
5. Cowboy Bebop

For a lot of anime fans, Cowboy Bebop is what got them into anime, agree fans?
It has beautiful great music, animation, lots of fun and action.
On top of that, the characters are cool, calm, and composed even as they go up against insurmountable odds.
4. Yu Yu Hakusho

This is my favourite series!
The original run was so successful that eve until today, multiple television networks from around the world are still reruns of it.
Remaking it should be a simple feat. What’s more, who wouldn’t want to watch an updated version of this series?
3. Soul Eater

There’s no doubt that Soul Eater has a big fan base worldwide.
If Soul Eater gets a remake, the fans will go crazy xD
2. Rave Groove Adventure

The series was loved and most fans would want a continuation of it.
We’ve already seen Haru and Ellie in one of the Fairy Tail OVAs and they looked good. This is why a remake of Rave would be amazing
1. Gantz

It was released in 2004 with 26 episodes but the anime had a different final arc compared to the manga given that the latter was still going on back then.
Now that the manga is finished, They can choose to to reboot the original story as it is still one of the most popular anime in Japan.
